Mary established East Killara Pharmacy in 2007 and continues to be the sole proprietor. She maintains Quality Care Pharmacy Program Accreditation, and successfully runs various pharmacy services in her local community, such as a COVID vaccination clinic.

Mary is the current President (since 2020) of Lindfield Montessori Preschool Incorporated and is responsible for the overall governance and management of the centre. Mary has been on the board since 2014 as Treasurer and subsequently Vice President. As President, Mary leads and directs the committee and works closely with the Directress to implement the committee’s decisions and plans. Mary chairs the AGM, regular meetings and sets the agendas. As well as organisational governance, staff recruitment and strategic planning, Mary communicates and resolves committee and principal concerns and performs regular staff performance reviews. She also oversees the license renewal negotiations and capital works.

Mary started her work with Lindfield Montessori after taking an interest in the Montessori philosophy while searching for childcare for her eldest daughter. As Mary’s family expanded, with two more daughters, so did her passion for childcare. She is now studying a Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care at the Australian College of Teachers’ Aides and Childcare. She also continues Governance training with The Association of Independent Schools NSW. Mary is the Admin Officer of eduKare and is extremely dedicated to its philosophy and model.
